‘Miodesopsia’ Paper/Projection Installation

Investigating the relationship between Floaters (Debris seen as shadows within the field of vision), Light and Paper.
Pleated paper installation which reflects projected moving image of the sky and clouds as reference of Myodesopsia, (floaters), debris seen as shadows within the field of vision. Combined with an exploration of paper as a medium, this autobiographical sculptural piece explores a crossover between floaters, light and paper.

Initiated through studying origami techniques and experimentating with variations of paper pleats. Looking at how the folds influence the way in which paper will lay or arc and possibilities for patterns to tessellate.
Paper folding exercises
Projection of short film, an edit of clouds, over which floaters are particularly prominent.
